The pilot was 1st Lt. John Muirhead ,
the crew: Thomsen, Rice, Spires, Burger, Murphy, McHugh, Naddeo, Gardner,
Kelley. Spires, Burger, Gardner -KIA, rest
POW in Shumen POW camp. Liberated 8th September 1944. (MACR 16203).
In 1986 John Muirhead published in
N.Y. the book “ Those who fall” with their story.
